Monologues

The monologues I share below were created with the aim of amusing and amusing me. Aquí no paga nadie (Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay!) and ein Tag wie jeder andere (an Ordinary Day) are excerpts from two plays by Dario Fo, an Italian comedian and playwright whom I admire for his enormous creativity and talent, and which I decided to perform as a tribute. Testosterona is an excerpt from the first novel by Lucía Etxebarría Amor, curiosidad, prozac y dudas (Love, Curiosity, Prozac and Doubt), published in 1997.

AQUÍ NO PAGA NADIE

Aquí no paga nadie begins with the narration of the looting of a supermarket by a group of women outraged by the constant and scandalous rise in prices. The play, written in Italy in the 70’s as a critique of the situation of inflation and social hardship of the time, is surprisingly still relevant 40 years later.

EIN TAG WIE JEDER ANDERE

Ein Tag wie jeder andere is a brilliant farce in which a series of mistakes and confusions in the midst of Julia’s emotional crisis, allows us to take an amusing journey into the complex world of the human “psyche”.

TESTOSTERONA

Amor, curiosidad, prozac y dudas: 3 sisters, 3 worlds that separate them but a story that unites them.
